This one is a quick one, but so funny! So, on YouTube in 2018, Pewdiepie was for the longest time the most subscribed to person on the platform. However, the Indian music channel, T-Series, was catching up to him in subscribers.
What happened?
Well, Pewdiepie responded by starting a campaign to gain more followers, and it quickly took the internet by storm as most people supported him, buying out billboards, ads, etc. Whatever they could do to spread the word was done, and Pewdiepie even released two songs about the whole thing. First, “B**** Lasagna” was a diss track to raise his platform and degrade theirs. Then, he released “Congratulations” when T-Series unfortunately passed him in subscribers.
Most speculate that T-Series bought their followers to win, but who knows. What do you think?
